According to local media, the Qatari tourism sector has recorded a year-on-year increase of 231.5% in the number of tourists, bringing the total number of tourists to the Gulf country to more than 324,374 in April 2023, on a monthly basis. The number was 25.1 percent higher than the same month of 2022.

The Planning and Statistics Authority released the 112th issue of the "Qatar Monthly Statistics" bulletin, in which the authority said that 46 percent of the total number of tourists came from Europe, as far as visitor arrivals by port type are concerned. Air has the highest percentage with 53% of the total number of arrivals.

As far as the banking sector is concerned, the total broad money supply (M2) recorded around 696 billion Qatari riyals during April 2023, an annual increase of 9.0% compared to April 2022, while cash equivalents, including commercial bank deposits, stood at 696 billion in April 2023. reached 964 billion Qatari Riyals during 2018 and the data recorded an annual increase of 0.8% compared to April 2022, when deposits were recorded at about 956 billion Qatari Riyals.

It is reported that the total number and value of properties sold decreased by 53.8% and 23.4% monthly respectively (compared to March 2023) and 52.4% and 56.6% annually (compared to April 2022). While shares traded fell at a monthly rate of 30.5 percent (compared to March 2023), market general index points declined by 0.3 percent.
