Rayudu announced his retirement on social networking website Twitter. He said in his tweet that the final match of IPL season 2023 will be the last match of his career after which he will retire from IPL. . Ambati Rayudu has also played 11 playoffs, 8 finals, 5 trophies in 14 IPL seasons played during his career.
He expressed the hope that Monday night might be his last match. He said that it was really fun to play this mega tournament. I am very thankful to all my fans and my team. Ambati Rayudu had announced his retirement in 2022 which he later retracted. Rayudu has played over 200 matches in the IPL and has scored over 4000 runs including a century. He also worked as a part-time wicketkeeper for Mumbai Indians. Ambati Rayudu also has the honor of representing India in 55 ODIs and 6 T20Is.
