The notification of increase in salary of federal government employees will be applicable from 1st July 2023





Islamabad (Urdupoint newspaper latest. 04 July 2023) The federal government has issued a notification to increase the salaries of government employees. According to the details, the federal government has issued a notification for an ad hoc increase of 30 to 35 percent in the salaries of government employees. Under which the salaries of employees from grade one to 16 have been increased by 35 percent, the salaries of federal employees from grade 17 to grade 22 have been increased by 30 percent.

The pay hike notification will be effective from 1st July 2023. Further, an ordinance regarding the increase in the salaries of Supreme Court judges has also been issued. Acting President Sadiq Sanjrani signed Ordinance 2023. The Ministry of Law issued the ordinance after the approval of the Vice President.

The salary of the Chief Justice of Pakistan was increased by 2 lakh 4 thousand rupees, the salary of the judge of the Supreme Court was increased by 1 lakh 93 thousand rupees.

The salary of the Chief Justice will be 12 lakh 29 thousand rupees per month, while earlier the salary of the Chief Justice was 10 lakh 24 thousand rupees. The salary of the Supreme Court judge will be 11 lakh 61 thousand rupees per month, while earlier the salary of the judge of the Supreme Court was 9 lakh 67 thousand rupees. It should be remembered that recently, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had said that the government has decided to increase the salary of all judges including the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

He said that there is no stranglehold on the Judiciary, a summary of the 20% increase in the salaries of all the judges including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has been sent. The Prime Minister will send his advice to the President and notice will be given. Similarly, Ishaq Dar had said that Chairman Senate will not allow the bill of concessions to be passed by the National Assembly. The Chairman did not make the Senate Concessions Bill a part of the Money Bill, there is no scope for reducing defense expenditure, there is scope for some reduction in civil services expenditure. He said that the government has taken austerity measures, the share of NFC also put the federal government in trouble.
