Former Punjab Chief Minister is being targeted for political revenge, Parvez Elahi has been granted bail in terrorism cases as well, the text of the petition



Lahore (Urdu Point, Latest Newspaper. 17 July 2023) Parvez Elahi's detention order was challenged in the court. According to the details, a petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court against the detention order of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. I have been granted bail.
It was further said in the application that the former Chief Minister of Punjab has been granted bail in terrorism cases as well. The petition requested that Parvez Elahi's detention orders be suspended. It should be remembered that earlier the police had recommended the detention of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi under 3MPO, the police had written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore to issue detention orders.

According to the police, during the investigation, it came to light that Parvez Elahi could be a threat to peace. According to the sources, the Deputy Commissioner has not yet taken any decision regarding the detention of Parvez Elahi, while the orders for the detention of the former Chief Minister have not been issued from the Deputy Commissioner's office. While a hearing was held on the petition of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi against not providing B class facilities in the Lahore High Court, Justice Amjad Rafiq heard the petition.

Former Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was produced on the order of the court. The court inquired since when are you in custody? Chaudhry Pervez Elahi replied that I have been in jail for one and a half months. The court inquired whether you have any problem. Pervez Elahi said that there are problems.
