Islamabad (Urdu Point Newspaper Latest 02 July 2023) Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Senator Talha Mehmood has said that Hajj will not be held in Pakistani money next year. He said that the quota of 179 thousand 210 pilgrims has been brought for Hajj in 2024 and next year Hajj will not be in Pakistani currency but in dollars. While giving a press conference in Islamabad, Senator Talha Mehmood said that around 160,000 Pakistanis have performed Hajj and the Saudi government has made remarkable arrangements on the occasion of Hajj.

He said that no other country was allowed to interfere in the affairs during the performance of Hajj.
The federal minister said that he has brought a quota of 179 thousand 210 pilgrims for Hajj in 2024, next year Hajj will be in dollars and not in Pakistani currency. He said that I was offered Hajj as a royal guest, but I preferred to perform Hajj like a common man. I also went through all the problems that a common pilgrim goes through. After making an inquiry, he assured to solve the future problems.

In response to a question, he said that I do not know how many people went on Hajj with President Arif Alvi. The Hajj of the President of Pakistan has nothing to do with my ministry. Meanwhile, national airline PIA has started its post-Hajj operation under which two flights have returned home with pilgrims. According to the PIA spokesperson, the first flight PK 832 of the national airline reached Lahore from Jeddah under the post-Hajj operation, while the second flight reached Karachi. The spokesperson of PIA says that the first flight of the national airline will land at Islamabad Airport under PIA's post-Hajj operation today. PIA's post-Hajj operation will continue till August 2.
