June 12, 2023) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to schedule 4 one-day international matches for the Pakistani team before the One Day World Cup scheduled in India later this year. Cricket boards have been contacted. Sources revealed that the PCB has initiated contacts with Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh and South Africa, inviting them to visit Pakistan in August and participate in a bilateral or tri-nation series.

In an email sent by the PCB to the said boards, it has been said that the series will provide an opportunity for the visiting teams to acclimatize to the conditions in the subcontinent before the mega event. It may be recalled that during a media press conference in Lahore on Saturday, the head coach of the Pakistani team, Grant Bradburn, highlighted the importance of securing additional matches to ensure the preparation of the Pakistani team for the important event. He further revealed that the PCB is actively organizing matches leading up to the crucial 50-over season.
