The clarification was issued after the RTA investigated the matter

According to the LovinDubai website, a video shared by a user shows an RTA bus parked at a stop, with passengers outside and the driver praying inside. When it went on to attract more than 7 lakh people, people had a very different view of the bus driver who left the passengers outside while they were praying on the bus, questioning whether the driver's actions were right. Passengers have the right to pray while waiting or should they pray after working hours?
RTA released a clarification on the bus driver's video that the bus driver offered prayers during his break and not during his duty hours, RTA said. try, and thoroughly investigate any behavior on the part of the driver outside of his scope, we would like to clarify after the investigation that the bus was not in its operational hours during the offering of prayers.
RTA said that as per our rules and regulations, no one is allowed to enter the bus before or after the scheduled travel time to ensure a safe environment for both the driver and the passengers, hence why The bus was out of working hours so the bus driver could not allow the passengers to board and therefore it was within his right to pray at that time.
