According to Khaleej Times, the call center executive of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has confirmed that there is no grace period for visit visas issued anywhere in the UAE, hence those issued in Dubai. The grace period for exiting the UAE for visiting visas will no longer apply.
Travel agents shared a note with their clients about the new directive saying that there is no grace period, the period of stay from the date of entry to Dubai on a visit visa is according to the type of visa (30 days or 60 days).
In this regard, Feroz Khan, Operation Manager of Arabian Business Center, Amer Center Sheikh Zayed Road, said that all Emirates except Dubai have already ended the 10-day grace period for visit visas, the grace period is applicable only to visas issued in Dubai. However, since May 15, the authorities in Dubai have also ended the grace period, which means that visitors or tourists must leave the country before their visa expires, failing which they will overstay. Penalty will apply.
A call center executive at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) also confirmed that there is no grace period for visit visas issued anywhere in the UAE, once the document expires. Penalty will be imposed.
